There is a certain kind of clarity that doesn’t come from noise, momentum, or even success. It comes from stillness. From knowing. From being fully at peace with who you are and how you move through the world.

For Dawn Hancock, that clarity lives close to home.

My living room is a place of quiet peace. Covering the wood floor is an extra-large, long gray carpet so soft your hands and feet can disappear into it. Surrounded by plants, trees, shells, rocks, stone, and pieces of nature that make this place feel like no other room in the world.”

This sense of grounding, of intentional space, is not separate from how she leads. It is the foundation of it.

On Leadership, Vision, and the Reality of the Journey

Dawn’s perspective on leadership is not softened for comfort. It is direct, lived, and rooted in truth many are still learning to accept.

“If your will is strong enough a way will be made. Life is not supposed to be easy. You are supposed to make mistakes when you start your business. Not everyone will see your vision, that’s why it’s your vision!”

She does not separate ambition from challenge. Instead, she names what often goes unsaid.

“At times, you will feel pain (psychological, emotional and physical) but the pain never lasts and as long as you learn the lesson it’s offering that specific breed of pain will not return.”

And perhaps most importantly, she reframes doubt.

“It is healthy to question yourself, and wonder if you’ll make it, and as long as your answer matches your effort and resilience, you will make it and you will succeed.”

On Grounding and Becoming

When everything feels uncertain, Dawn returns to something deeper than strategy or external validation.

“Knowing my purpose. Living my purpose. Knowing it will all work out. Feeling real peace daily. Knowing and loving who I am now. Appreciating who I used to be and each version of me that helped me to become this ever evolving version of the greatest iteration of me.”

Her reflection is not about perfection. It is about integration.

“I wouldn’t trade myself with anyone or for anything—I’m so cool, calm loving, and caring and I am happy to be me.”

There is a quiet power in that kind of self-acceptance.

“This amazing journey called life could not be made up and I get to say I am happy after ‘growing’ through it all, I am happy now.”

On What’s Shifting

Dawn is energized by what she sees emerging around her.

“The growing levels of self-awareness, community and the unleashing of curiosity and intrigue about life and living well.”

It is a shift not just in how people work, but how they think, question, and connect.

On How She Leads

Her approach to leadership is not driven by external frameworks. It is internal, intuitive, and disciplined.

“My heart is my compass. Tuning in when I feel anything other than great — in any situation. I do not ignore it — I do my best to pause in that very moment and find what I am supposed to learn, what kind of feedback is now available due to the situation I find myself in.”

She trusts the process, even when it is uncomfortable.

“Trusting that every problem has a solution and every challenge has tremendous value and although an easy triumph feels good it does not teach me as much.”

On Learning as a Way of Living

Dawn’s curiosity shows up in how she learns, consistently and expansively.

Audiobooks on Audible changed my life because of the vast amount of information that I can digest on endless subjects! I love all the features: rewind, consider, playback speed and unlimited replay.”

For her, learning is not confined to time or place.

“‘Reading with my ears’ allows the super nerd in me to learn and grow—on the go and as I sleep.”

And with that learning comes humility.

“I love to learn and the more I learn the more I realize how much I don’t know…I have so many questions! Lol”

On the Power of Being Who You Were Created to Become

There is no single thread that defines Dawn Hancock’s journey. It is not one moment, one strategy, or one breakthrough.

It is a way of being. A commitment to purpose. A willingness to feel, to learn, to question, and to continue becoming.

And in this way of being, there is a power that does not need to prove itself.
